Ballooning Safety
Hot air ballooning is a safe and well-regulated activity when conducted by experienced professionals under appropriate weather conditions. All flights with Arizona Balloon Safaris are operated by FAA-certified pilots trained specifically for commercial passenger ballooning.
Flights do not launch before sunrise due to FAA regulations and visibility requirements. Weather conditions are evaluated prior to every flight, and launches occur only when conditions meet strict safety guidelines.
Our balloons are registered aircraft and are subject to regular FAA inspections, including required inspections every 100 hours of operation. Safety briefings are provided before each flight so guests know what to expect during launch, flight, and landing.
